This template risk assessment sets out possible actions you can take to prevent and/or minimise the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in your workplace. The actions set out in this risk assessment are not compulsory and you should assess what is appropriate for your particular workplace.
There is no longer a requirement for most employers to explicitly consider COVID-19 risks in their health and safety risk assessments, or carry out a specific COVID-19 risk assessment, although you may choose to do so. However, you should continue to take any COVID-19 risk mitigation steps that are appropriate for your circumstances. Note that employers whose staff specifically work with COVID-19 (eg laboratory staff or healthcare workers caring for infectious patients) must continue to undertake a risk assessment that considers COVID-19.
To assist with this risk assessment, you may wish to use COVID-19 individual risk assessment to find out whether any of your staff members are more vulnerable to the effects of coronavirus.
