
Redundancy - Final individual consultation meeting agenda
Stop Press: Protection from redundancy has recently been extended to pregnant employees and employees on adoption or shared parental leave. There will also be additional protections for employees who suffer a miscarriage. The additional protections apply where you are informed of your employee’s pregnancy on or after 6 April 2024, and to any maternity, adoption or shared parental leave ending on or after 6 April 2024. We are currently updating our content and documents to reflect these changes.
This meeting agenda is intended to be used at a final individual consultation meeting during a redundancy process.
At the end of your consultation process, you should hold a final meeting with an employee who has been selected for redundancy to discuss any outstanding matters, including whether there are any ways that the redundancy may be avoided.
It is important that all avenues are explored and that individuals have a genuine opportunity to suggest alternatives. If there is no alternative, then the employment may be terminated following this meeting.
