
Final written warning for capability
This final written warning for capability is one of the last steps in your formal disciplinary process for a staff member who is not performing well enough.
This letter is for use after you have followed a formal disciplinary process and either the findings you have made are serious enough to justify a final written warning being given immediately, or you have already given a first written warning which has not had the desired effect. This final warning is for use when the issue is one of capability for doing the job.
If the staff member does not improve after receipt of this final written warning notice, it explains that dismissal is usually the next step. This letter also gives the staff member a right to appeal against the warning.
It is important for any written warnings to your employees to be clear about what the issue is and how to address it, to help them improve if at all possible. This template final capability warning notice will ensure your warning is made clear.
